One of the very fun things about smartphone technologies and wire-less broadband is the ability to be a globe-trotter from your own living room and even on your morning commute, and one fine way to do this is through internet radio. It's all waiting for you: news from the BBC world service, eclectic Greek music from a station on Cyprus, love songs from Hungary, and classical music from Chile. That favorite station from your old hometown is probably there too, and you don't even need to know the names of the stations you're looking for. The online service and app TuneIn catalogs the web streams of thousands of radio stations from around the world and allows you to browse by location or genre and take a listen. Others do likewise. ¶
